ISO Graphite (CGI & ESM series)
Our CGI and ESM series are isostatically pressed graphites which are produced by the method of Cold isostatic pressing (CIP). The CIP method involves transmitting a pressure with a liquid; in other words, it is a method of applying Pascal’s law to powder molding. When powder is scaled in a rubber bag that has little transformation resistance and liquid pressure is applied.
All of the powder surfaces receive the same compressive force equal to the liquid pressure so that the powder is compressed and molded isotropically. Our ISO graphite materials with this method can obtain specifically fine grain, dense and uniform structure.
These graphite materials have many good characteristics such as high strength, excellent thermal shock resistance, resistance to high temperature and oxidation, low specific electric resistivity, good anticorrosion, precise machining and low impurities.
Our isostatically pressed graphites can be delivered as blocks and rounds in various sizes and can be purified to < 5ppm on customers requirement.
